Losses in the clamp not only reduce the amount of available feedstock but increase the proportion of undigestible material, creating potential problems in the digester. Our independently approved silage additives reduce fermentation losses and ensure an aerobically stable clamp during feed-out. Producing a better-quality feedstock gives the ability to generate more methane and, in turn, greater profits.

Activator Plus CA – The inoculant with a difference

The biological alternative with a crucial difference which minimises the production of CO2 and water caused by other heterofermentative inoculants.

Activator Plus CA:

  • Supplies the necessary 1 million homofermentative, lactic acid bacteria per gram of forage needed for a fast fermentation.
  • The addition of citric acid, rather than bacteria, to protect against aerobic spoilage gives more control, resulting in greater stability in the clamp.
  • More fermentable dry matter equals more methane.
